Predict the score of each match. The closer your guess, the more you score, and the deeper into the tournament, the more every pick is worth. Here is the whole system.
Scan the code at West Coast Crew, add your name and number, then predict the score of any match before it kicks off. You can pick from your phone anytime, so you do not have to be at the bar to play. Every pick locks the moment that match starts.
| You got | Points |
|---|---|
| The exact scoreBoth numbers right. | 3 |
| The goal differenceRight margin, wrong score (a correct draw counts here). | 2 |
| The resultRight win, draw, or loss, wrong margin. | 1 |
| None of the above | 0 |
A correct draw counts as the right goal difference, since you nailed the margin, so it is worth 2.
Group games are worth their face value. Once the knockouts begin, every match is multiplied, all the way up to the Final.
So an exact score worth 3 points in the group stage is worth 18 in the Final. The race is never over until the last whistle.
| Your pick | Final | You score |
|---|---|---|
| 2–1 | 2–1, group game | 3 |
| 2–1 | 2–1, Round of 16 | 9 |
| 1–0 | 2–1 | 2 |
| 2–1 | 3–1 | 1 |
| 2–2 | 0–0 | 2 |
If a knockout ends level and goes to penalties, it is scored at the full-time score, so it counts as a draw on your prediction. But if you backed the team that went through to win, you still earn points for calling it, worth a correct result for that round.
Example: you pick France 2–1, it finishes 1–1 and France win on penalties. Your scoreline missed, but you called France through, so you still score (a correct result, multiplied by the round).
Through the group stage you can make two long-range picks: the Golden Boot (the tournament's top scorer) and the Winner. They lock when the group stage ends, before the Round of 32, and pay out at the very end. A correct call adds a bonus on top of your match points. West Coast Crew sets how big that bonus is.
At West Coast Crew while a match is on? Check in from the bar for a +3 bonus — every game you're here for counts, and big matches (Gillette games and West Coast Crew's teams) pay +5. It counts on West Coast Crew's leaderboard only. The South Shore board stays pure prediction, so showing up never changes it.
Each week of the Cup is its own fresh leaderboard, so a strong week can win you something even if you joined late. West Coast Crew may put up a weekly prize — ask at the bar. The season-long champion is still whoever tops the overall board at the end.
Five group games are played locally at Gillette Stadium. They're flagged in your picks, and the sharpest call on each one gets a shout.
Level on points? Whoever has played more matches ranks higher. Still tied? It is alphabetical by name.
